ABOUT US
Kool Kids Daycare & Preschool, Inc. is a Reggio inspired family child care home and
educational program. We are conveniently located near the 5 freeway, 10 freeway, and
60 freeway in the City of East Los Angeles, CA. We were established in 2005 and
proudly serve the communities of Los Angeles, East Los Angeles, Commerce, and
Montebello, CA. We are licensed to care for children ages 0 to 12 years old. We
currently accept private families and families contracted with MAOF, IILA, DCFS,
CALWORKS, GAIN, and BRIDGE programs. We are currently enrolling children ages
1-5 for our preschool programs and children ages 6-12 for our school age programs. In
addition, we offer two shifts to better serve our community. We offer a day care
program and also a evening care program for parents who work or go to school during
non-traditional hours. Furthermore, if your child is under the age of 1 years old, contact
us to find out if enrollment is available!

ABOUT THE DIRECTOR
Mrs. King is the Director and Master Teacher at Kool Kids Daycare & Preschool, Inc. She is
a wife and also the mother to her three beautiful children. Mrs. King has over 20 years
experience in working with children. She has an Associates degree in Liberal studies from
East Los Angeles College. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Child Development
with a specialty in Early Childhood Program Administration from California State
University, Los Angeles. Furthermore, she has a Child Development Program Director
Credential with an emphasis on both preschool and school-age children from the
California Commission on Teacher Credentialing. In addition to her educational
background, she has worked in both the private and public sectors of education. Mrs.
King worked for a private child care center as a preschool teacher for 2 years.
Additionally, she worked for the Los Angeles Unified School District as an elementary
school Librarian for 6 years. In 2005, Mrs. King decided to open her family child care
home a couple of years after her youngest children, a set of twins were born. It was hard
for her and her husband to find a quality child care program for their children to attend
while they furthered their careers. It was then that she decided to start a child care
program that would not only benefit her own three children but the children in her
community as well. After 14 years of opening her child care facility, she has succeeded in
her mission. Mrs. King has had the opportunity to plant the seed of greatness into
hundreds of children in her community. All while being able to raise and provide those
same opportunities to her own children. Mrs. King knows first hand the benefits of
providing children with the tools necessary for success! Her oldest daughter graduated
from the University of Southern California in 2015 and her twins are both freshmen at the
University of California, Riverside and the University of California, Irvine for the 2019-2020
school year!
